How do you ensure that the file you edited on your windows work computer is the same as the copy you have on your home linux system or your mac laptop? Save it to a flash drive and transfer it when you get home? Save it to an online account then download it and replace it later? There is a better way!

I found it extremely easy to set up on both linux and windows. I don’t have access to a Mac so I can’t comment. The only drawback (at least on my linux system) is that, as it’s written in java it’s a memory hog! However I don’t need to leave it running all the time. I come home from work, fire it up, let my files synchronise and shut it down again.
Now all my files are the same version on all my computers and I have the added bonus of an on-line backup. I don’t have to do think about it, as long as I save files to the folder designated in the powerfolder program my files are synchronised automatically.
