I’ve been playing around with modifying themes and I came across the K2 Theme. (thanks to Artur Kim at r2zinhu’s blog) It’s a clean theme that is easy to modify by making a new style. No need to touch the base code, just upload a style to the style folder and activate on the K2 Options page. See Paul Stamatiou’s blog for detailed instructions for customizing.

Hi, I took a look at the styles and they look great. The only one that I didn’t like much was the notebook looking one. However, I think that a notebook theme has a lot of potential. In my opinion, the style would look better if:
- the background looked like a table;
- the navigation menu looked like bookmarks coming out of the notebook;
- the white part on the left side of the notebook looked like the background;
- the title and description were written in an object that would be on the table (pencil, eraser, …).
Well, hope that helps. (:
Thanks for the comment Artur. I’ll have another look at the notebook one and see what I can do!
I really wish I could modify my themes but I lack of knowledge and experience to do it. Any link to do a step by step procedure would be appreciated.
Is it really that flexible that you can modify images and fonts and everything or just lines and backgrounds?
