Firefox Addons - Weekly Roundup No 2

First an addition to Web Developer addons that I came across this week!

LinkChecker

LinkChecker checks all the links on a web page. Valid links are highlighted in green, invalid links in red (customisable). Easy to use!

Now some addons to make blogging easier!

ScribeFire

blockquote.gifScribeFire is a full-featured blog editor that integrates with your browser and lets you easily post to your blog. You can drag and drop formatted text from pages you are browsing, take notes, and post to your blog.blockquote1.gif

I love scribefire and use it daily. You can set any number of blogs and easily write posts, assign them to categories and post without needing to visit the blog. There’s even an inbuilt FTP facility.

Zwordpress

zwordpress.gif Zwordpress for WordPress is excellent for easily managing multiple blogs. A message in the status bar lets you know which blog you’re working on currently and you can use keyboard shortcuts to access many Wordpress functions. Easily switch between blogs and access all the functions with a menu on the toolbar There’s a longer review here.

Firefox Live Bookmarks

Not an addon but a very useful Firefox function, live bookmarks is an easy way to read your feeds. Click on the rss icon in the address bar of any site offering feeds, add to a feed folder in your Bookmarks Toolbar Folder and have all your feeds easily accessible. I find this much easier than using a feed reader. I can scroll down the feeds, click on an interesting item and go straight to the web page.

Do you use other addons to make your blogging easier?
