Publicise Your RSS Feed with RSS Hugger

logo.pngI’m always willing to try a new way to get traffic! Not just to get traffic for my blog but to research different methods. I’ve had mixed success with other methods I’ve tried so I’m curious to see how the new RSS Hugger will perform. At the moment there are 394 feeds in their database but it appears to be growing fast!

From their about page

rssHugger is a unique website that aims to bring bloggers and readers together. rssHugger aims to provide blog owners with a unique easy-to-use way to promote their blogs by sending them traffic, building backlinks for search engine optimization, as well as attracting new rss subscribers if the content is interesting to the reader. blockquote1.gif

Adding your blog’s RSS feed is free if you write a review. You can also pay $20 if you don’t want to write a review. Once you’re accepted you get your own blog page for 10 years. Collin LaHay’s aim is to sign up 250,000 free blogs in the first year.

What are the benefits of owning a blog page?

For the blog owners:

  • Raise awareness of your blog
  • Send tons of visitors to your blog
  • Share traffic with the community
  • Be part of a viral/buzz marketing campaign
  • Build deep-links for your blog posts to help with search engine optimization
  • Get new interested RSS subscribers who view your content on a regular basis.
  • For the visitors:

  • Find blogs that interest you
  • Easily subscribe to many blogs
  • Skim over hundreds of blogs to find what suits you blockquote1.gif
  • So I’ll give it a try. I can’t honestly report that it works until I’ve tried it, but I’ll give it a month and see how my RSS subscriptions are affected. Let’s see if “Send tons of visitors to your blog” is realistic! I’ll report back weekly on my experiences.

Have you signed up? Are you getting more traffic? Share you experiences with us!
