This week I’m featuring a paid for WordPress plugin phpBay Pro
phpBay Pro is available from $49 and has many options for customising your listings. The country can be specified, even the individual seller.
Some of the options are:
![]() |
Add keyword rich Ebay items to your php based web site that encourage impulsive buys. |
![]() |
Add SEO value to your content that can potentially increase search engine rankings. |
![]() |
List auction items regionally from 14 different countries. |
![]() |
List items by postal code (zip code) for localized results. |
![]() |
List items from specific Ebay categories. |
![]() |
List items from specific sellers. |
I’ve set up a simple demo at phpBay Demo
I’m already running some BANS stores but I want to try using a blog for marketing ebay auctions as I believe it may be easier to market a blog as opposed to a website. There are many ways to publicise a blog (blogging zoom, mybloglog, technorati etc) that are not available for websites. I’m going to set up a blog as an affiliate ebay and compare it with my BANS store. I’ll let you know how it works out!

You’re welcome
Thanks for post, it’s really interesting for me!!!
You are so right, it is easier to market a blog as opposed to a website. So marketing and hopefully profitting from your auctions would be much simpler with this setup.
I’ve also found something called Editor Kit for ebay but the rules say you can only use it in the US! I’m not sure if it’s OK to use it if I live in the caribbean but market to the US. I’ll try to find out as it looks very useful.
Your options are great and I think that its obviously so easier to market a blog as opposed to a website.
Hi Janet, i have been looking everywhere in the web for a comparison of phpbay and bans, but can’t find one.
I am eager to know, how is it going now? Do you prefer using bans or phpbay? I run a niche site and i am thinking to monetize it for some more using ebay.
Thanks!
Are there any plans to offer a classic ASP of world press?
This seems like a very useful plugin. Thanks for that.
thanks great post. i’m trying phpbay out as well.
I was thinking of using phpbay and this has been good to get me thinking. I would also be interested in any comparision of phpbay and bans. Many thanks Karen
I have heard about the php bay pluging but i have never tried it. I have tried bans many times. I woould like to give the phpbay plugin a try, I have a wordpress blog that has been sitting around for a while.
i am using phpBay to build eBay stores, if anybody interested in more info, click on my name link and it’ll take you to phpBay and BANS review.
With the number of flexible options available, it seem to be a rather good plugin
