I’ve moved all except one of my .info BANS sites to .com domain names. I’m leaving one to see if it ever comes back. So far, after 3 weeks, it’s still de-indexed. The .com sites are all indexed and I’m beginning to get traffic and bids from them. It will be interesting to see if the .info one remaining ever comes back. Many people are saying - it’s OK they’ll come back - just keep adding content and backlinks. ALL my .info sites had content and backlinks so I really don’t see how that can make any difference and I’m not prepared to waste my time increasing them. If it takes 3 months for them to come back (as I’ve seen quoted) I’ll make more than enough to cover the cost of the new domain names in that time.
So I’m using .com domain names in the future!

You need to be patient with .infos. Google doesn’t really trust them as they do other sites. Sometimes they get indexed and then de-indexed quite quickly. Keep building some links for them and they will reappear in the index.
Yeah. Even anyone who remembers domains only remembers .com first, .net 2nd and .org 3rd =D No matter whether it’s commercial based or not. So .com is the way to go. Hehe.
hmmm…i never have experienced with .info domains. so far, we only used .com domains. although you have decided to switch to .com domains completely, i still hope your .infos will get indexed.
oh i guess you have to be more patient with .info domains. maybe they are not as common so they don’t get recognized more quickly. good day!
I agree with you, using .com is better because it is international and it covers wider.
.com domain registration costs 7-10 times more than .info domains. Google is not stupid. They know that .info domains are being abused.
Well, i do not know about other domain and i do only stick on the .com since it is the most stable domain compare to others
This is very interesting. I had not seen this written about anywhere else. I never thought that saving a few bucks was worth it. It seem as if it isn’t. I wish you the best.
Going international is certainly the better choice. So .com will fit you to a tee. Keep up the good work. Cheers.
Yeah, for that reason I only use .com’s, most people remember them pretty easy, and google loves them!
I wish you all the best to get back pr from google.
Good post, thunks.
I don’t understand too. But my friend who is doing online business did told me that backlinks do really increase traffic.
.com is way better than .info..however many of the good domains are being taken.
I never thought that saving a few bucks was worth it. It seem as if it isn’t. I wish you the best.
i never use this kind of thing before but i guess you just need to be patient with this…maybe this kind of thing need time to see the progress….be patient and all the best
I have noticed this issue as well lately, my guess is that it has come from new changes in the Google algorithm that were applied incorrectly to info sites.
Emmm.. i do not know about other domain only the .com since it is the most stable domain compare to others and it worth it to use..
Yup, for me, either .com and .net is the best.. .info doesn’t really appeal to most people as it’s not smooth to pronounce and it had 4 letters compared to the standard 3 letters, which might not be used to by the majority
Good luck in your future endeavors.

Like what i have mentioned previously, it is best to use .com domains for commercial products and services. Webmasters must choose the right domain type for the right purposes.
