Finding a link exchange program that works and doesn’t give you lots of spammy links proved a challenge! I’ve tried many different ones and each one had some problems. Difficult code to install, irrelevant links (one gave me links to porn sites!)but I seem to have found one that works well and gives you relevant links.
I’ve been using Free Relevant Links for about a month and so far I’m pleased with the results. I found it easy to install the code to my php sites but I am struggling with a few asp .net sites. I’ve recently launched some sites to sell products from Commision Junction advertisers using a program written by my sister ( here’s an example Best Power Tools ). I know nothing about asp.net (I’m a linux/unix user!) so I’m struggling to insert the code. However they do have an install service so I’ve made use of that and am awaiting results!
Free Relevant Links also includes a site map and uptime monitor if you require them. Here’s a page of the links generated for my Lawnmower Site
To add the code to a php site upload the files 0308.php and 032008.php (included in the download) to your root directory and then add the line <?php include(’032008.php’); ?> to the relevant file for your theme. (sidebar.php perhaps for WordPress themes, footer.php for BANS themes) I also added a title using <h2>Links Page</h2> just before the code.
A link to your Link Exchange page will appear on your page where you added the code.
I haven’t tried adding the code for a html site but from the instructions it looks reasonably easy. I’ll report back on whetether my asp.net sites had the code installed OK.

I’m going to try Free relevant links. It’s getting harder to get links with the ever changing rules in our industry. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the good contribution. But whtat to use if your blog does not support php?
it works quite well i must add!
Thanks was looking for something like this! Keep up the good work.
I checked out the freerelevantlinks.com site you mentioned, and it looks like they use a script to generate the exchanged links. As we know that Google does not like link exchange schmes like this, wouldn’t it be easy for their spider to detect the script on your page’s source code, and discount the exchanged links?
Thank’s for an awesome information. That helps a lot.
I’m with Rakeback on this one. Also where is the advantage I link to you and you link to me. The one with the highest PR wins. Also how do you know if the link passes links juice?
I be follow this for an update.
You can check for link juice by checking the source code. Open up the source code and use the ctrl + f function then search for an external link on the page. If it says no-follow then no link juice.
no-follow is not on any of the links so they do pass link-juice. Checking my external links I see 10 of the sites I’m linking to but others are not showing up. Going to the sites I don’t see a links page set up. I’ll check back in a while as any sites not displaying the link pages should be removed by Free Relevant Links. So it seems Google is including the links but Free Relevant Links may not be monitoring the sites properly. None of the sites have very high PR but then nor do my sites yet as they are fairly new. For a new site I need all the links I can get!
unnikuttan They do have scripts for asp, asp.net. html etc However I’m having trouble installing the asp.net script on one of my sites. They are supposed to have an install service but, although I gave them details they haven’t installed it yet. I need to get back to them on that one.
Great information. I’m looking for this kind of exchange program and I’m happy I came across your post. Great guide for inserting code, btw
Follow Up: Just to be sure that Google will spider the links on the links page I ran the page through Search Engine Spider Simulator All the links showed up as spidered.
I find that searching for the best quality links by hand is still the best way to go. There are always issues with links programs that are automated, one of which is that often they do not allow the page setup to be unique with text, so the page either goes supplemental in the directory case, or it simply isn’t cached enough, and you lose link partners.
It is really hard to find quality backlinks. I have tried many exchange services but all are waste of time and money. I am hesitating to use this service as well.
Yeah! Same with Me Qaswer, I tried it also and I found out that I only wasting may Effort, Time and Money.
Well, The information helps a lot. I should try if what you said was true.
Thanks for such a nice and informative article .. I will love to use free relevant links as i am looking for some relevant niche website for link exchanging.

Excellent article, thanks very much for the info.
I find link exchanging sites a serious waste of time and money. It is better to create link baits and let people link to your good content. - Rif Chia

i never heard this method i ll try as posible as soon. thanks for information
Manually searching and asking for links is still by far the best way to go. Automated programs and websites don’t help.
Excellent tips, I will need to look at using some of these.
Thank you for the brilliant tips. I would love to try Free Relevant Tips and see if it works for me.
