Before I give you the results of my keyword experiment so far I want to talk about Court’s latest post - As it turns out content is king
Court has removed all his keyword sniping post and shut down his new keyword sniping site and his paid keyword sniping course. This very drastic measure is a result of his site being dropped from no 1 in SERPS to page 7. He has said that people have mistaken his keyword sniping posts to mean that content doesn’t matter and that he is misleading people with the posts. That people who are reading his posts then making thin sites will be penalised by Google. I, and I am sure many other people, have not interpreted it this way. In fact after reading the posts I realised that i wasn’t putting enough content on my sites and began to add more. So for me the posts had the opposite effect. I fully intend to continue using the keyword sniping technique.
So what are my results so far?
I began the experiment in the beginning of July and after 1 week my results were as follows
Keyword A
- Position after 2 days 219
- Position after 1 week 125
Keyword B
- Position after 2 days 112
- Position after 1 week 106
Here are my SERPS today (Sep 12th)
Keyword A
- Position after 2 months 34
Keyword B
- Position after 2 months 51
Unique visitors to date 1,356
So keyword A has gone from position 219 to 34 and keyword B from 112 to 51. I haven’t published any more articles than the original 2 that I submitted to Ezine Articles and then to iSnare and Free Article Submission Service. I have added 3 of my original articles to Qassia for the backlinks. I really need to write some more articles for distribution!

Content is the king. If we look at SEO from a searcher point of view, people would love to see top page ranking to contain the most relevant results pertaining to their searches. With that in mind, it is in the best interests of the search engines to find great content and rank them accordingly. In the end, it still boils down to content being the king in SEO industry.

Articles submission is a good link bait to boost your inbound links, especially when you have a great content.
I feel all the available methods, from free article submission, to directory submission to social networking, everything is important for seeing your page rank high…
nice post. According to my knowledge many things need to be done for good page ranking like: article submission, back links, Good SEO base content on the website, Promote website on different sites and so on.
Keywords are so important? I didn’t know
This is a very interesting article, good information and helpful. Thank you
yes, good keywords would work along with with good content, but never will work if you have good content and bad keywords. It’s how it works.
That’s the power of a quality link bait. Keep it up!
Great results you have - slow but steady improvement in rankings is something I can believe in… When I see ads promising to get you to #1 page in no time it seems to be really suspicious…

In my opinion (it might not make sense to you), Court’s site was doing great except the part where he missed out on updating his blog.
Blog are easy to rank on Google because blogs update their content on certain topic very often. That’s what makes Google value it higher. Court use this advantage to rank for his keyword sniping site but that blog end out like a normal site. When Google realize the blog is not updated, it probably treat it as a normal site.
Do you think so?
Alex Liu Now you mention it Court’s site has not been updated very often so it could be a contributing factor. If so then keyword sniping sites will need to be updated too. His instructions for keyword sniping only included making 10 pieces of content one time. I’ll monitor how my sites do without updating frequently. If they start to slip down SERPS I’ll try adding content at regular intervals and see how it goes. Will report back!
Nice Post. I am new here but will be visiting more often as you have done a good job.
I consider your effort for this article is indeed valuable. Its well researched, well portrayed and well formated informative content.
I really appreciate the work. Keep it up…..

Great post. I am looking forward for more posting. Keep up the goodwork!
What will be your next move with the keywords? I guess the process is getting tough day by day.
If we could only get into the minds of Google engineers, we would have a better explanation of the rise and fall our keyword empire. Algorithm changes make us helpless sometimes. In the end, I just forget keywords and move on to writing things that really matter to me.
Great share. I can’t wait for more.
What tool do you use to track results? I’m just curious what various bloggers use…
Thanks for the nice share. keep on posting! I love to see it.

So, choosing the right keywords is really important. Thanks for the info.
What exactly is “keyword sniping”? Where can I read more about it?
Good keywords and good contents come along together and they work together. Never be effective without each other.

One of the best way to add content is add a blog in your site and add fresh content regularly in your website blog. This will really help your site in ranking.
I really was a bit blown away about this whole thing that went down with court. I just got an email from him and he is back in the game and looking to buy websites!
Good report. I want to know that only by submitting at article directories can bring this good result? or you have followed other processes also?
So the keyword sniping technique has got you good results? I must get those too. Oh no, he removed those right?
Ad ofcourse, content has always been king. People failing to realize this can ever reach desired positions.
@ John
Keyword sniping is targeting keywords relevant to your site or blog, keyword which has got some searches being made by visitors, but not much competition.
Very good keywords and very good content definitely works.
