It’s now 4 months since I started using the keyword sniping technique outlined by Court ( he has since withdrawn his keyword sniping posts read this for an explanation As it turns out content is king)
I want to tell you that for me it has been very, very successful. 4 of my sites are on page 1 of Google for 2 keywords (many at positions 2-3 - I haven’t achieved a 1 yet!) My visitors has jumped up this month so those sites are getting around 150 visitors a day each. These are niche sites so I am not expecting 100’s of visitors! My earnings this month have jumped from $600 in September to $750 last month to nearly $2000 so far in November, the majority of it coming from the keyword sniping sites.
For most of the sites I haven’t added any more to the original 10 posts and 2 articles that I distributed. One site made in August is still not receiving many visitors and the keywords are still way down in SERP’s. It may need more time or I may go back to it and write some more content and articles. I have had no time this week to do anything but move sites!
I am continuing to build sites using the keyword sniping technique making sure I add lots of original content and distributing original articles. It takes time for the sites to climb in SERP’s, it won’t happen overnight but I can assure you it will happen so have patience.

The Keyword sniping strategy emphasizes knowing the basics like keywords, SEO, link building etc..
The article you provided is pretty interesting but I am even more interested about what he said about keyword sniping… do you have a link? I have used similar techniques you described but to a lesser extent, guess it works huh? Let us know what happens in the future, good luck!

Brunørret check out the link in the post - “As it turns out content is king” Court wrote detailed instructions on keyword sniping but then withdrew the posts as he said they didn’t emphasise content enough. i never took it to mean you didn’t need content and in fact he emphasised in his posts to have at least 10 pieces of original content on the keyword sniping sites. When I have time I’ll write up some instructions but basically you build the entire site around 2 keywords, publish articles with a variety of different anchor text but all containing those keywords.

It is really blessed to have such tools which allow us to keep the eye on keywords. I have been doing everything in a very conventional way but now things have been changes. I can do it in a much better way.

Congratz on the ranking success using keyword sniping. Ingenuity + hardwork = results.
The sites are still ranking well and I have some newer sites moving up the rankings too but…… last month eBay Partner Network sent me an email dumping me as an affiliate “During a recent review, we found that your account is related to a previously banned account. Your account has been terminated and 100% of your pending commissions will be reversed.”
I have never had another account with them and certainly have never been banned. Of course this is a mistake and I’ve emailed them but, predictably, no response. I had over $2,500 pending. I have moved all the sites that are suitable to using popshops and put adsense on the the rest. Last month I made $700 from adsense so all is not totally lost but it’s only about 1/3 of what I was making with eBay. So far popshops is not converting well.
I have heard of people being reinstated after a month so I may still hear some good news form eBay but I’m really not very hopeful. They can do as they like of course. I have been very, very careful to follow the TOS as I was making very good money but that obviously means nothing to them!

That is great to here! I have had a fair amount of success with keyword sniping, I think that it is a great way to make some money when you are first starting out, but a little to time intensive to make an above average living.
I usually try to build larger “authority” websites and use those for income. Keyword sniping is really great for product/keyword research it lets you test the market and see what kind of turnover there is.

Wow! I am encourage at the figures you have provided regarding how much your monthly earnings have jumped. Of course, it takes time to accomplish this and as you stated, content is king. No matter how you manipulate keywords and search engines and use SEO and SMO, if you build it they will NOT come unless you post some information relevant to someone.

I am wondering if can survive without all modern SEO techniques? I think a network(websites) should have a vast knowledge of SEO in these says and nobodu can survive without them. I love Web 2.0 sites as well because that is so fun to work on with our projects.
I just wish I could have read the original post “content is not king” and learned more about keyword sniping. Too many sites really do not have good content, yet they are still intact and enjoying higher Google page ranks.
I have worked for a dental marketing company which used black hat tactics. Of course, it is important for any business to thoroughly check out the ways in which any company vying for their business works to do so.
What happened with that company which used black hat? I think sooner or later they such sites will be banned forever.

Keyword snipping and selection is a tough job and fortunately I h ave found one solution. There are many concepts and techniques involved. A few days ago, I installed a SEO application and it has a wonderful tool. It analyze keywords with their competition and daily searched and calculate it. I think such applications are wonderful.

It really worked for one of my sites and site is on page 1. I have been reading a lot of stuff on that in past few months. Keyword snipping really makes a sense.
I think all old SEO technique are no obsolete and we’ll have to follow new guidelines. I have observed that people are reluctant to change and to accept changes. It is time to learn from others and to seek latest trainings. Thanks for proving it via some real time examples.
Mark, What are changes which you are pointing to? I think a few new are added but basics are same. We need links, and anchor building and of course keyword snipping.
